Curriculum vitae
Alec Martin
AI-enabled innovation and delivery
Innovation and delivery leader with more than 12 years across technology operations, DevOps/SRE, Agile delivery and organisational change.
I find valuable problems, shape practical interventions with users and subject-matter experts and carry ideas through prototyping, delivery and adoption. I am development-aware rather than a software engineer: able to interrogate technical choices, work credibly with specialists and use AI-assisted development to make ideas tangible.
I am especially interested in what technology makes possible for human judgement and agency inside organisations, and in how new ways of working become real rather than merely announced.
Selected impact
Useful work, carried into the organisation.
01Waterline
Conceived and built a reflection tool in response to an HR-sponsored question about burnout and organisational change. Pilot feedback has been unanimous: respondents said it helped them see something differently and that they would use it again. Backed by HR and wellness for rollout.
02ClearView
Conceived and built a Jira-integrated delivery-intelligence application that exposed overcommitment and weak planning assumptions, contributing to delivery against commitment rising from approximately 50% to consistently above 80%.
03Alignment Lab
Created a web application that turns team-purpose and values facilitation into reusable remote exercise paths. Championed by Training and Development and now a permanent offering on the company L&D platform.
04Kanban Board Steward
Designed an Atlassian Rovo agent that turns Jira evidence into concise flow and planning reports. The pilot workflow was adopted successfully, further test teams are using it and the work has been presented to the wider group.
